2024 Honda Accord Hybrid

Model year 2023 marked the launch of the 11th-generation Accord, an all-new and version of one of the most consistently popular models over several decades. The 2024 Accord Hybrid carries forward the same sophisticated look that debuted with that redesign in representation of Honda’s new design language. The spacious and upscale cabin is also part of the 2024 Accord Hybrid experience, with ample room for five, a sophisticated infotainment system, and available leather seats. This car is also technologically advanced, with a digital cockpit and the latest safety aids. Accord Hybrid buyers get even more value thanks to Honda Service Pass, which supplies complimentary standard scheduled maintenance for the first two years or 24,000 miles.

Note: This overview details the 2024 Accord Hybrid; the conventionally powered Accord is covered separately.

Trims and Powertrain

The 2024 Accord Hybrid is a front-wheel-drive gas-electric sedan that Honda presents in Sport Hybrid, EX-L Hybrid, Sport-L Hybrid, and Touring Hybrid trim levels. Under the hood, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and two motors work together to generate 204 combined horsepower. This powertrain connects to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The EPA has estimated fuel economy for this vehicle to be 46 mpg around town and 41 mpg on the open road for all trims but the EX-L, which is rated to return 51 city/44 highway.

Standard Features

The most affordable Accord Hybrid, the Sport, is nicely set up with proximity keyless entry, a power moonroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, fabric upholstery, push-button start, a ten-way power driver's seat with lumbar support, and LED exterior lighting with automatic headlights. Its other standard features include a 10.2-inch configurable driver information display, a 60/40-split folding rear seat, a self-opening trunk, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and two USB ports. This trim also lives up to its name with sporty touches like a gloss-black rear spoiler, gloss-black power side mirrors, and 19-inch alloy wheels. The EX-L is equipped similarly to the Sport but drops some exterior accents in favor of a more subtle look. This trim’s other merits are leather seating surfaces, heated front seats, a four-way power front passenger seat, a driver's position memory system, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, two second-row USB ports, and 17-inch alloy wheels.

The Sport-L combines the exterior looks of the Sport with the cabin features of the EX-L (minus the second-row USB ports and auto-dimming rearview mirror) and adds the visual distinction of a rear diffuser. The Touring expands the EX-L feature set with heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear outboard seats, a head-up display, heated power side mirrors with reverse tilt-down functionality, rain-sensing windshield wipers, wireless device charging, and 19-inch alloy wheels.

Advanced Safety Features

Honda Sensing is standard on all Accord Hybrid trims. The driver-assist features in this technology suite are forward collision warning, collision mitigation braking, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, road departure mitigation, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, traffic jam assist, adaptive cruise control, a driver attention monitor, traffic sign recognition, and automatic high beams. The EX-L and Touring also get parking sensors, and the Touring adds low-speed braking control. Every trim has a multi-airbag occupant protection system, anti-lock brakes, stability control, traction control, and a rearview monitor with dynamic guidelines.

Infotainment and Connectivity

The Accord Hybrid has a generously sized 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment hub. The system is supported with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, Alexa built-in, a text messaging assistant, and access to a Wi-Fi hotspot and HondaLink connected services. Google built-in is exclusive to the top-of-the-line Touring. A 180-watt, eight-speaker sound system is standard in the three lowest trims, while the Touring gets a 12-speaker Bose setup.
