2024 Honda Civic Hatchback for Sale or Lease in Capitol Heights
2024 Honda Civic Hatchback
For more than half a century, the Honda Civic has been made with two main four-door body styles: the sedan and hatchback (there were also coupe and wagon versions for a time). With its versatile design and widely appealing looks, the 2024 Honda Civic Hatchback has all the appeal of the Civic Sedan, but with added cargo space and convenient liftback access. Its other advantage over the stalwart Civic Sedan is that the Hatchback retains availability of a 6-speed manual transmission – quite a bonus for those who like complete control of shifting the gears. Buyers and lessees get a nice perk: 2 years/24,000 miles of Honda Service Pass complimentary scheduled maintenance, covering oil changes, tire rotations, and multipoint inspections.
Trims and Powertrains
The front-wheel-drive Civic Hatchback comes in four trims: LX, Sport, EX-L, and Sport Touring. A 158-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine is standard on the LX and Sport, while the EX-L and Sport Touring upgrade to a 180-horsepower 1.5-liter turbo-four. A six-speed manual transmission is standard on the Sport and Sport Touring, with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) with paddle shifters optional on those trims. The LX and EX-L are made only with the CVT. The Sport and Sport Touring feature a 3-mode drive system with settings for ECON, Normal, and Sport.
The CVT provides the best EPA fuel economy numbers, with the LX rated at 30 mpg city/38 mpg highway and the EX-L achieving an EPA-estimated 31 city/39 highway. With the 6-speed manual, the Sport achieves 26 city/36 highway (it gets 29 city/37 hwy with the CVT) and the Sport Touring returns 28 city/37 hwy (the CVT brings the city mpg up to 30).
