The Honda Odyssey celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, owing its longevity to consistently offering the space, features, and convenience required of a family-centric vehicle. Trims and Powertrains
The Honda Odyssey lineup includes five trims: EX, EX-L, Sport, Touring, and Elite. The powertrain unites a 3.5-liter 280-hp V6 engine and a 10-speed automatic transmission. All Odysseys have front-wheel drive and intelligent traction management with a special setting for driving in snow. The EPA estimates fuel economy of 19 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway for all trim levels. This minivan’s towing capacity maxes out at 3,500 pounds.
Standard Features
Even the entry-level EX is generously equipped, getting power sliding doors, heated front seats, the Magic Slide second-row seats with armrests, and a one-motion 60/40 split third-row Magic Seat. This base trim also includes a 12-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with four-way lumbar support, a 4-way adjustable passenger’s seat, push-button start, tri-zone automatic climate control with second-row controls, two USB ports, second-row integrated sunshades, LED headlights and fog lights, body-colored heated power side mirrors with integrated turn indicators, and 18-inch alloy wheels in Pewter Gray.
The EX-L upgrades to the power tailgate with programmable height adjustment, leather-trimmed seats (front and outboard second row), driver’s seat memory, an 8-way power-adjustable passenger seat with lumbar support, a one-touch power moonroof with tilt, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, two second-row USB ports, the HomeLink remote system, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and 18-inch Shark Gray machine-finished alloy wheels. The Sport adds a unique appearance with red interior ambient lighting, body-colored elements (door handles, side sills, and roof-mounted antenna), gloss-black heated side mirrors with integrated turn indicators and position memory, and 19-inch gloss-black alloy wheels.
More functionality is added to the Touring with the CabinWatch rear-seat monitor, CabinTalk in-car PA system (with headphones), wireless device charging, a 115-volt power outlet, a third-row USB port, third-row integrated sunshades, and 19-inch Shark Gray machine-finished alloy wheels. At the top of the lineup, the Elite spoils its occupants with heated and ventilated front seats, a hands-free power tailgate, additional speakers for the CabinTalk in-car PA system, blue ambient lighting, and power-folding, auto-dimming heated side mirrors.
Advanced Driver Aids
Every 2024 Odyssey has the Honda Sensing system of driver-assist and safety technologies that include blind-spot monitoring, rear-cross traffic monitoring, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, forward collision warning, traffic sign recognition, a backup camera, driver attention monitoring, and automatic high-beam headlights. With the Touring and Elite, parking sensors (front and rear) are added.
Infotainment and Connectivity
All five trims have an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth connectivity, HD Radio, and SiriusXM satellite radio. All but the highest trim have a 7-speaker stereo with subwoofer; the top-of-the-line Elite gets an 11-speaker system with a subwoofer instead. Both the Touring and Elite add satellite-linked navigation, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and the advanced rear entertainment system with a 10.2-inch high-resolution screen, Blu-Ray player, and two wireless headphones.
