And for your most challenging jobs, Honda has introduced the off-road-themed TrailSport trim for 2024, which stands apart with its performance-driven equipment and unique design, including the eye-catching Diffused Sky Blue paint color (a TrailSport exclusive). Honda has also made some noteworthy changes to the Ridgeline’s cabin, including a larger and more functional center console, a new 7-inch digital instrument panel, a 9-inch infotainment touchscreen, and wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay connectivity is now standard across all trims.
Trims and Powertrain
The 2024 Ridgeline lineup gives buyers a choice of four trim levels: Sport, RTL, TrailSport, and Black Edition. The powertrain is a 280-horsepower (262 lb.-ft. of torque) 3.5-liter V-6 engine mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission; the maximum towing capacity is 5,000 pounds. Every trim comes with AWD and an intelligent traction management system with four modes (Normal, Snow, Mud, and Sand).
Standard Features
The Sport has remote start, cloth upholstery, wireless smartphone charging, LED exterior lighting (auto on/off headlights, fog lights, brake lights), power side-view mirrors, dual chrome exhaust finishers, Smart Entry with Walk-Away Auto-Lock, tri-zone automatic climate control, rear-seat heat/AC ducts, two USB ports (front), and two 12-volt power outlets (one per row). The RTL moves up to leather upholstery and adds heated front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a 4-way power passenger’s seat, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a power moonroof, and heated side mirrors.
The TrailSport was built for the road less traveled with trim-exclusive equipment like an off-road tuned suspension, steel underbody protection, and all-terrain tires. The interior shows off seats upholstered in simulated leather with Trail Orange stitching, a heated steering wheel (also with orange stitching), trim-specific all-season floor mats, orange ambient LED lighting, and illuminated beverage holders in the front row. The Black Edition’s interior goes with red in lieu of orange stitching and ambient LED lighting. Its other upgrades include heated/ventilated front seats and heated rear outboard seats, plus LED lighting and a power outlet in the truck bed. For an even more aggressive look, the HPD Package can be added to any trim level for an alternative grille treatment, black fender flares, unique alloy wheels, and special exterior graphics.
Advanced Driver Aids
All ‘24 Ridgelines have the Honda Sensing suite installed, which includes these safety technologies: adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, a blind-spot information system, a cross-traffic monitor, collision mitigation braking, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, road departure mitigation, and auto high-beams. The TrailSport and Black Edition provide one more level of driver awareness with the addition of front and rear parking sensors.
Infotainment and Connectivity
A 9-inch touchscreen multimedia system is found in every ‘24 Ridgeline. It’s used to manage wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth HandsFreeLink and streaming audio, the HondaLink app, and a sound system (a basic 7-speaker stereo in all trims but the Black Edition, which gets a 540-watt premium audio system with 8 speakers and a subwoofer. HomeLink and SiriusXM are added at the RTL level, while the TrailSport and Black Edition get satellite-linked navigation. HD Radio is included only with the Black Edition.
