Exterior
A major focus for the Sport iteration of the Honda HR-V was exterior accenting, which can be observed by various elements that have taken on a different color. For example, both the roofline spoiler and side mirrors are now finished in gloss black. When combined with Milano Red or Boost Blue Pearl1 —- finishes that are made available by going for the Sport trim —- you’ll be able to see how pronounced they are. A chrome exhaust finisher is added to embellish the rear of this subcompact SUV in a way that will make fans of sporty models smile wide. On that note, the fascia of the HR-V Sport includes a gloss-black grille, which looks excellent when considering that the 18-inch gloss-black alloy wheels match it one-for-one.
Performance
Fire up the 2026 Honda HR-V Sport and show off how the symphony of internal mechanisms under the hood sound to your colleague or friend by using its Remote Engine Start feature. It allows you to power on the SUV without you needing to be inside of it to crank the ignition, thus giving you a chance to hear the dulcet notes emitted by a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine that makes 158 horsepower2 and 138 lb.-ft. of torque3. Another bragging point you can be proud of is the model’s gas mileage, which returns 26/32/28 MPG city/hwy/combined4 in EPA-estimated fuel economy ratings. Dynamic Drive Modes make the HR-V Sport a joy to pilot throughout Bowie, even if there’s a bit of slippery frost on the pavement. Simply pivot to its Snow setting and feel how well the vehicle holds its ground.
Interior
The cabin of the 2026 Honda HR-V also receives its own refreshes, and the leather-wrapped shift knob and steering are some of the first you may notice upon your first visit within its quarters. Some upgrades remain cleverly hidden, with such being the case with the driver’s and front passenger’s illuminated vanity mirrors. Inspect the climate controls closely and you’ll eventually see a button that controls the heated front seats, which is yet another convenient amenity to have when the cold season strikes.
